Well it's been a whole month since I've updated my blogg, how very rude of me!!
So what have i been up to?
I've had a fabby valentines get a way to New York City, the hubby whisked me away for a week, was lovely to get away and we were lucky enough to get some nice weather. It wasn't freezing cold but i did need my coat, scarf & gloves but that was perfect for me. We went in June 2010, it was sweltering hot and i just couldn't cope with the weather, the brisk wind on my cheeks was so much better.
We decided not to do so much touristy stuff as we had been just 18 months ago and me also being pregnant didn't want to wear myself out. We visited Brooklyn bridge, we walked across it taking pictures and watching the world go by, we had wonderful views from the bridge and could just about see ground zero being built up, it was a foggy wet day and unfortunately we couldn't see the statue of liberty from the bridge but i reckon you would be able to on a clear day.
We went back to Grand Central Station, the place is just amazing!! I was quite disappointed to find out they had put an Apple shop in though, there's a massive Apple shop on 5th Avenue near central parc so this one is not needed and not wanted in my case!! The building itself is beautiful, the ceiling is amazing and i had an over whelming feeling of just wanting to lie in the middle of the floor, I'm not sure commuters would have appreciated that though so i did refrain ;)
We did a phenomenal amount of shopping but my gorgeous husband would only let me spend my money on me, i bought lots of clothes, make-up a hand bag and some uggs, i was attracted very much to Tiffany's but husband had bought me a Tiffany's necklace for christmas and i think that's all the Tiffany's treasure i need for now.
My favourite place in NYC is central parc, its just beautiful and think i could walk around it all day although we just spent the morning there, i was getting really tired from the long days but we went where i wanted to see. The place is soooo big, i love watching the walkers/cyclists/joggers just pass by, putting my fitness level to shame but hey i was on holiday!!
All in all we had yet another fabulous trip to the big apple, we've decided on holidays in the UK for the next few years now, we haven't been to Cornwall or Devon and i would like to visit both at some point so with a small baby to pack for as well as me, I'm happy with that.
As for the pregnancy i think all is well, I'm all booked in and i have my scan in 8 days, its been along time coming but I'm more than looking forward to it, I've had no sickness at all and barely any symptoms, so lets just hope I'm a lucky one.
11+4 as the clock strikes midnight xx
